v0.4: Physics/Bug Fixes


Hello and welcome to the v0.4 Physics/Bug Fixes update! Wooooooo!

This past week has been very motivating as I have gotten an insane amount of progress done! For half the week I have spent my time reworking the vehicle physics! The vehicle rarely flips onto its side or upside down, clips through the terrain, or fly for crazy amounts when barely going above 5kmph. Woooooooo!

I felt like playing in 1st person when not on VR felt a bit funny, so i added a 3rd person camera and it feels great! Here is how it looks:

Wait woah, what is that? Yeah, its more area to explore! For the second half of the week I have worked on adding another square km of area to explore, making the total a whole 1x2 sqkm to drive and explore! Here is a picture of a hill that was hard to climb while working on physics >:(



Also yes, I have figured out how the Terrain Layers work and fixed how the ground looks, I know, its beautiful. I also worked on making 1 whole tree. But I now know how Unity's LOD system works and in the future the game should look prettier while also having better performance.



Some other things I have worked on was fixing how the vehicle's handlebars and wheels turn when turning, it moves correctly, not like the old versions! :D I also made sure VR worked. Yes, a main feature of the game might have been broken for a few versions, don't @ me.

This is all for now though, the next update might take longer as I now have 2 jobs and will be busier. If anyone reading this would like some devlog videos uploaded to YouTube I could start doing that. Any suggestions are welcome as well!
